Kalmeer Private Game Reserve is a 27 ha small-holding in the Cape Farms District of the Western Cape.

The location is +/- 15km from the scenic town Philadelphia

The Small-holding is home to some Springbokkies, Duikers, Guinea Fowls, Caracals, Cape Genets, various bird species including owls and falcons to name a few.

We also have some livestock and our beloved pets that enjoy farm life with us.

We grow our own seasonal fruits and vegetables in our crop garden.

This wonderful tranquil place is also the location of Berg 4×4 Rentals offices.

We have recently completed a cottages so our clients can have a sleep over facility if they need it especially for those late flights.

As pick up and collection usually happens from the farm you can relax a bit before taking the long winding road.

The Cape-Namibia Route (N7) is +/- 12km away, so if you are travelling to Namibia you will already be on your route.

Airport transfers for vehicle collections and drop off’s are free of charge, so no need to stop at the hotel first.

Enjoy a view of the wildlife coming to eat next to the manor house in the late afternoons or enjoy a stroll through the small-holding on one of the walking trails.

In our guest lounge / garden you will be able to view some facts on Namibia and read some books on your planned itinerary.

The Kudu Cottage can comfortably sleep 4 guests and features a full bedroom with a queen-size bed, an open plan kitchen / living area with another 2 single beds and a bathroom.

2 Additional Stretchers can be added if necessary.

The outside stoep is lovely for those warm summer nights.

The cottage is self-catering, but braai-packs and/or salads are available upon request.

There is a gas-braai on the stoep.

The apartment is serviced daily and has free wifi.

The cottage got it’s name from the majestic antelope that roams freely in most parts of Southern Africa.

The horns on the stoep is a reminder of the beauty, freedom and peacefulness of Africa that fuels our souls.

Please book the cottage well in advance to avoid disappointment as at this stage there is only one.
