A LITTLE BIT ABOUT BERG 4x4 Rentals
Berg 4×4 Rentals has two branches. Our head office in Cape Town and our bookings office in Walvis Bay Namibia. Collection / Drop off from anyone of our branches are free of charge. Each branch is allocated it’s own stock and the stock has to be returned to its original location. A return fee will apply should you drop it off at a different location. Both our Cape Town and Walvis Bay depot is located in close proximity to the international airports and our shuttle will collect or drop off free of charge at either airport. We also delivery or drop off in most major cities at a surcharge. Please enquire should you need a drop off in any other location, so we can see if we can accommodate you.
Berg 4×4 Rentals is a family owned business, therefore, the service you will receive from us is personal and allows a little room for customizing the vehicle to suit you. We pride ourselves in our fleet which consists of reliable and trustworthy vehicles, each individually designed to ensure a comfortable and memorable 4×4 experience. Our vehicles can sleep 1 to 4 people comfortably and additional ground tents can be added for one extra person. The vehicles are already fitted with all the accessories and camping equipment you will need.
Being experienced travelers ourselves, we understand the importance of having the correct equipment in the correct place to ensure comfort and ease. We have a passion for the outdoors and vast knowledge of 4×4 rigging and off-road driving and we know we can benefit those longing for the peace and quiet only nature can offer.
The following countries fall under our territorial limits and you can change through any border at your leisure during your rental period as long as we arrange the border documents prior to departure: SOUTH AFRICA, NAMIBIA, BOTSWANA, ZIMBABWE, MOZAMBIQUE, LESOTHO and SWAZILAND
We have had so many queries on ZAMBIA and MALAWI that we have tailor made our insurance to include a special extension so you can enter and visit those countries. Please review our insurance section (Option 4) if you want to travel to Zambia & Malawi for the terms & conditions.
Travel documents are arranged by us free of charge, but do not include visas
Clients with confirmed bookings with Berg 4×4 Rentals will have access to our travel centre that will give helpful hints and tips on where to go, where to stay and what to see. Carefully planned itinerary assistance available.

Our fully Equipped ranges has everything you need for a luxury camping holiday. Should you be staying in lodges, but still require a durable 4×4, our fleet has unequipped options (no camping). If you find your inner peace next to the fish waters, see our range of fishing vehicles which can be hired from our Walvis Bay branch for trip to Henties and further up the Skeleton Coast.
